TWID is India’s first app for managing your banking and non-banking reward points and payments. Trusted by over 1.5 million users using “Pay with Rewards”, TWID lets you track, earn, and pay with your rewards across a wide network of merchants both online and offline.
THE CHallenge
When TWID launched, the team lacked confidence that users would organically transact or understand the Pay with Rewards concept. A major concern was that users might perceive TWID as just another UPI app instead of a differentiated rewards-based payment platform.
To address this, we needed a strategy to:
Encourage first-time transactions and seamlessly onboard users.
Make users experience the value of rewards early in their journey.
Ensure repeat transactions by driving habit formation.
To address these challenges, Twid is now developing a unified app experience that will allow users to:
Track Rewards
Centrally view and manage all their reward points from various sources.
Use and Earn Rewards
Earn additional rewards through the Twid platform and user reward points using your UPI Payments.
Make Payments
Seamlessly pay bills and make purchases using their accumulated reward points, as well as traditional payment methods like UPI and credit cards.

summarizing thoughts
The Twid app represented a pivotal milestone as my first end-to-end platform design, uniquely addressing three critical stakeholders: Issuers, Brands, and Consumers. The design challenge was complex, requiring a balanced approach that provided equal visibility and value for each stakeholder group. This demanded extensive cross-functional collaboration with business, user growth, and data teams to deeply understand existing user dynamics and craft an optimal experience that served multiple perspectives simultaneously. By navigating these intricate stakeholder needs, the design process transformed from a mere interface creation to a strategic exercise in holistic product ecosystem design.
